This is a 1987 pre-ban Yugo M-70AB2 7.62x39 underfolder in very good condition with nice bore. Has the bayonet lug, cleaning rod, and grenade sight cut-off. 1.5 mm bulged trunnion NoDak Spud receiver built by Dan Coonan Industries. 30 rd Tapco mag included.(It is NOT a Century build!) It is a great shooting rifle, I just prefer an AK with a regular size stock. (These are getting very hard to find and are going for $1300-$1400.) FTF sale in Baldwin County w/ bill of sale.
    Thanks for looking!

1987 is stamped on the front left side of the bulged trunnion along with M-70 AB2. This is a Dan Coonan Industries (DCI) build on a NoDak Spud receiver. The DCI Yugo AK builds were by all accounts some of the best. You are welcome to inspect it in person I doubt you would be disappointed! BTW, every mag I have tried fits like it should with no wobble and I have not had to "modify" any mags to get them to work.

The 1987 date is when the TRUNNION was made not when the kit was built. Definitely NOT pre-ban. These were made starting in ‘04-‘05. Dan Coonan (DCI) IS Nodak Spud….same entity. I remember when these were being sold new and the only place I ever saw them for sale was through Century (CAI)

So Century sold them but did not build them, correct?

i believe Century imported the kits and then contracted first Two Rivers Armory and then Dan Coonan (DCI) to build them. The Two Rivers builds were actually blued and relatively few in number and the DCI builds were parkerized. So, correct, Century did not build them thankfully.

Too bad Century isn’t a great source of info these days. Not sure if DCI got contracted to do the vast majority of these builds due to being better or just cheaper but every Coonan build I’ve seen personally was solid. The blued Two Rivers guns I’ve seen looked good but I prefer the more durable parkerized finish.

I had one of these in the early 2000’s as well, wish I still had it bcuz it was a great shooter & I love the look of the ext. hg & grenade launcher sight up front. Really cool piece brother.

You seem quite knowledgeable on the AK build. I got some of the M70ABM's ( milled receivers ) assuming they were built by Dan Coonan also using green mtn barrels and Yugoslavia parts kits. Can you confirm this ? They seem to be the best built parts kits I've come across and definitely the most accurate AK's I've ever shot.
