go no go gauge testing

on a ak 47 riley with less than 120 rounds through it that has many no fire issues ,looks like good primer hit 3 different brands of steel . The bolt carrier assembly will not close on the go or no go . LGS smith sent it back to me with a red tag....unsafe to fire .

Did the smith have an explanation on why it's unsafe to fire. Not every "smith" is really competent to make that determination. Some are professionally trained with lots of experience. Others are self taught and just "dabble".

well when i asked him if he wanted to use my gauges he kinda looked at me strange like ....what are gauges but he covered his bases and they cannot do anything more , i will re-call riley next week and make a date to send it to them

Just got the rifle back yesterday and i range tested it to-day with 60 rounds ,it ran great ,riley did not charge me on a weapon 1 year out of warranty ,looks like hammer ,extractor springs and bolt according to paper work
