Keep searching the net 5.56 is still out there for well less then $1 a pop! Problem is by the time I check stock and then list it is is normally gone. So you need to be Net proactive and ready to dump some plastic on big buys. Coordinate with a good buddy pool $ to one person who will sniff these deals out from honest dealers. Agree in advance what is acceptable: reloads? MFG? coated? what bullet weight works for all of you? Rate import brands and country of origin 1 through XX.
You can find it if you work it.

walmart in niceville had about 10 boxes 243, 10 boxes 7mm-08, 5 boxes 17hmr and about 20 boxes each 12 and 20 gauge. It took up 1/8 of the display unit. The rest of the display unit was full of knives and loran units. Looks like Im the only place in Niceville with ammo :)

don't remember the price but they have not jacked up everything like some stores

He was just putting them on the shelf. Looked like he was putting them out as individual boxes rather than bricks. Looked like only a couple of thousand on the cart.

The ammo aisle was crowded and I was looking for powder and in a hurry so I did not look at the ammo.
