I shoot mild cast bullet loads in my low number RIA and am confident in MY use of such a rifle.

Me too Daezee in my International Harvester and Springfield!!

    Powdercoat 160gr Lee Mold & .308 sized.

    Pushed with 12gr of Unique.
Not enough umph to cycle action but not a problem with easy hits on steel on ERGC steel plates.
    Good cheap (~) fun!

Are you using the Lee C309-160-R double cavity mould…? I’m looking for a Lee mould boolit that will work with the Garand…

Meeting of the M1 Garands yesterday…in Jay FL shooting at a Jerome’s place. We each brought a Garand. Mine being in .308, theirs in 30-06. We got to do some lite maintenance and shooting’. Top rifle is .308 CMP Special I got this past month, middle rifle is JJ’s; a CMP service grade with an added laminate stock and a DIY machined stainless gas plug. He added a match grade rear sight and match grade op rod. Bottom rifle belongs to a co-worker friend and is a 2012’ish service grade with a 1945 barrel and had a new stock put on at CMP. Bandolier and ammo/En blocks CMP bought same time as rifle.Co-worker brought his son’s and JJ took some time to give them some beginner pointers in our beloved sport…
