candy ass shoots the damn thing. My great aunt would grab them, chop the head off in a single whack, and toss it back down to run around and bleed out.

We had a rule growing up. If the rooster chased you and didn't stop after getting kicked once, we got to chop its head off and make mean rooster soup.

Roosters generally didn't last long around our house.

When I had surgery, my doctor and the surgical team wore a mask. When I go to the dentist, everyone that works on me wears a mask. None of these masks are for the protection of the wearer (surgeon, dentist, etc.). They are there to protect me.

Masks are not going to cause me harm, but they can provide protection to others. I'm willing to put up with a small inconvenience if that can be of benefit to someone else. That someone else could be a young healthy person or it could be an elderly more at risk person.

If they are ineffective, should I tell my surgical team, dentist, etc. to toss them and save me the money?

Everybody should just get these to be safe.
