I've shot the Taurus 1911. I've never been a fan of their autoloaders, but I was very pleasant surprised by the one I shot. I've had a few 1911s in the past 25 years. A cold, two Springfield's, a Charles Daley, and a Kimber. The Springfield's were my favorites. The Kimber custom ii I had kinda sucked. It was very ammo picky compared to my others. Even the Charles Daley was a really good shooter and accurate.

Unfortunately a divorce 12 years ago put me in a dire financial position forcing me to sell just about everything I owned. Been slowly building back up ever since. Trying to stay within caliber restrictions this time, and with modern ammo developments, I'm happy with 9mm.

Yea the PT1911 comes with a lowered and flared ejection port, beveled mag well, checkers front and rear back straps, and Heinie sights, I had both the Ruger and this one in my hand when I bought it new and liked the Taurus allot more

Yeah, it's a lot of features for the price point. Wish it were 9mm
