Price $200 SOLD
Item Description From my collection: This is a 1942 Russian Army World War 2 infantry rifle from the Izhevsk Arsenal. I do not think it has been fired since crated after arsenal refurbishment. More character than your typical refurb. It is in a correct war-time stock, open rear sling slot and half-liner forward. The stock has no toe splice and has two arsenal repairs: the common one near the forward end, and an interesting one on the left side rear sling slot. See photos. This stock has seen some duty. If it could only tell us what it has seen. Some shellac wear but nothing bad. The bore is good but needs a good scrub. The crown is great with a very tight muzzle. No counter-bore. All numbers stamped matching with a force match on the magazine plate. CAI import marked on left side of receiver. Accessories: I will include a standard OD canvas sling, a bayonet (non-matching), and belt type ammo pouch. Another cool detail is that the stock has steel and brass accuracy shims installed the way the Finns did it. Should be a fine shooter. Thanks for looking.
