So I'm hearing lots of good range reports from this fast twist round (1:3)
Who has one?
What's your experience or opinion?
Also, if you were building a pistol 8.6, would you go with a 12.5" or 7.75"?

GarandThumb did a fun video on the penetration of that round. I was interested until I looked at cost and ended up deciding that I'll stick to what I have. Following to see as Im interested to see what local folks have used.

A friend of mine said to definitely get the 12.5".
the barrels i have found are around $250.
I think i have everything to build one except a barrel and a magazine.

1)Wonder what size buffer/spring people are using?

2)Where do I find mags?

I recently purchased a 12.5" from Uintah Precision. It's a bolt gun upper that goes on their AR10 lower. Purchased some ammo from Gorilla and currently working on components for hand loading... Which I'm a complete newb at.... Looking at ordering a CGS Group Hekate to utilize the full benefits of running subs.
Have yet to take it to the range for the break in and zero but I can update once I do if there's some interest.
Magazines are just standard 308/6.5.

It does, AR10 mags.
