If the government really wanted any particular activity (like prostitution or human trafficking) stopped, all the government would need to do is make the activity a forcible felony, so that the common man can shoot anybody doing that activity on sight, legally. Empower the common man, because the LEO's can't be everywhere at all times, and the common man outnumbers the LEO's like 10,000 to 1. An open season on hookers, pimps and dealers would seriously clean up Pensacola, and real freaky fast
I always said if the government really wanted to stop drug trafficking, they could.
People will die but most of them deserve it.
Declare war on the suppliers and I’m talking about serious, people gonna die war. Same with human traffickers.

The US Marines and the US Army stormed Mexico and took it by force, with door to door fighting all the way to the Mexican capitol. We can certainly do it again.

10 cruise missiles programed for cartel head's compounds would be a great first start...

then lay down down suppressing machine gun fire in front of the next wave of illegals trying to cross the border would be a great second step...

in any other country, except maybe the wussies in canada, they would shoot them....

Mexican government troops sure enough were shooting the northbound Central American illegal immigrants on Mexico' southern border as of a couple years ago. Maybe they still are, who knows?! Maybe the Mexicans got wise and shot whoever leaked the story

Rebel_Rider1969 hit the nail on the head, LE should focus on real crime and not easy lets go hook up some hookers and get in the news! Lots of drug dealers, burglars, and other major crimes to solve. The worlds oldest profession will continue.

Good public relations is a major factor. Most departments now have a PR person, some have PR offices. Good PR equates to money, increased public support/compliance, and also less public questioning/scrutiny. Hmmmm.

Take down a low-threat target using overwhelming force in a very public manner, and the average citizen believes their tax dollars are fighting crime, their municipality is cleaner/safer for it, and they also become more supportive/submissive regarding their benefactors. Very few will even question anything after the fact; it's all good. Yet the real crime you allude to continues. It's financiers and enablers are never sought by a satisfied public.

So, could PR also be a cover, a form of deception?
