Bumping this thread... Anyone have bear *resistant* feeder designs to share? We've picked up a new spot in Leon County that has a large # of bears and I'd rather build/buy once -cry once than learn expensive lessons...There is a way to make feeders bear proof. However it takes time, money, and resourses.
If you do not have bear visiting your club . . . you will. Running dogs will help. But will end your chances of killing a deer. A feeder slinging corn is just too easy and a bear is just too smart.
We didn't have bear at our club either . . . until we did. --- SAWMAN View attachment 86722 View attachment 86723
