I feel like crying. I went to the range to shoot the first gun I ever owned, (the gun is 30 years old now). With the exception of a broken extractor about 2 years ago, I've never had any problems. Until today. You can see what happened. My barrel just up and broke. I did a quick look around and didn't see anything available right now. I found complete guns for $1800 all the way up to $8000 (preWW2). It wasn't even gold plated. If anyone has a lead to a barrel at a reasonable price, please let me know.

I would send it back to colt and let them repair it, then it would retain most of it's value. $$$ ? they may surprise you??
