I actually have consistently contacted committee members prior to them hearing the pro-gun bills that are moving through Tallahassee right now. This bill, the campus carry bill, the open carry bill, etc. Apparently my emails and phone calls were useless on this bill, since the republicans sold us out when we could have won the committee easily.

I absolutely agree but that is no reason to stop. We need to do whatever we can to ensure these RINO's get voted out. I know I will do what ever I need to do in the next election to bring Chris Latvala's political career to an end.

Well though HB-169 was killed, the Senate did pass, by a vote of 5-1, the SB-344 "Burden of Proof".

This is the speech that Sen. Joe Negron made during the hearing on the "Burden of Proof". A very well spoken and impassioned speech that reinforces the idea that you are innocent until proven guilty, and should not have to prove your innocence, the Govt. should have to prove you are guilty.
