You can borrow my airweight to see if she likes it. I have a few grips you can swap out as well.

If she shot it more than just a few times and fell in love with it sounds like that's your answer. My wife hated the lightweight Ruger LCR .38. She is not recoil sensitive and carries a DB380 and a 9mm Walther PPS which she much prefers to the LCR. She even shoots my XDs 45 and says it is much more comfortable than the featherweight 38 revolver was.

How do you like your XDs45? Thinking about getting one.

My wife carries an airweight S&W 37. She wasn't really keen about the recoil,
but for practice I loaded it with 148gr wadcutters and it shoots like a .22.
Now she really loves to shoot it.

Love it! Like it's not even there carried in a Leather / Kydex holster. I find the recoil not bad, really like the fiber optic sight, and a nice crisp glock like trigger with short reset.

S&W made a 9 mm revolver, don't remember the number, sure is a sweet shooting gun, just right for a lady. Friend if mine had one for his wife.

Thanks for the info. Going to look around for one and see how it fits my hand.

My wife carries a Taurus poly 85, she loves it but there is so recoil but she does not mind at all. Like the thought of a point and fire for my wife. Just IMHO

my wife has one and yes it has a stout recoil. not something you want to do a range day with.
I let her practice with downloaded ammo and keep it loaded with +P

the hammerless versions usually have a harder pull but are more consistent for point and shoot

ive heard 22 mag is mean out of a snub as well if .38 is too much pop

Hoping to let her shoot one in the next few weeks so we shall see. Miraculously found some .38 special ammo at walmart the other morning so were all set. She also just got her concealed carry license in the mail the other day, watch out!

Like most of the instructors I know, when I teach a concealed carry class, I bring out a number of guns for the students to try. One that most seem to enjoy is the Walter PK380. Deal is tho, that we are all different so we react differently to specific models.
Let me know if you or she would to try out the ones I have - shoot at ERGC so ask you to cover the guest fees and cost of the ammo.

Bought an airweight for my GF awhile back, be prepared to lighten the trigger a bit for her, my 642 had about a 4 ton trigger pull on it from the factory.

The Taurus ultralight .44 mags were pretty easy to handle. Dunno about the shooting part but very lightweight.
