I own a Browning B80 that is about 35 years old. It shoots 2 3/4" shells. I just recently found out that, with the right barrel, it can shoot 3" shells. I then found a barrel for 3", but it was not threaded for chokes. Does anyone know if there are 3" threaded barrels available for the B80? Also, the barrel must be able to shoot steel shot. Thanks.

An option is to send your barrels to Briley, or one of their competitors, and have screw in chokes installed in your 3 inch barrel. Depending on your intended use, you can also have sub gauge tubes made.

I believe there is an Outfit called colonial choke tubes in Spanish Fort. That will tread your barrel if it is thick enough.
Colonial does great choke tubes. And I believe they can do thin wall tubes also. They’re much cheaper than Briley.

As J pointed out that barrel was made by Beretta so its year of manufacture will likely determine whether it can be threaded. Beretta did not begin offering threaded barrels until they got to the 303 series. Some earlier ones will accept thin wall chokes but it is a case by case basis. Colonial, rightly so, will be picky about the wall thickness but will do a good job if it can be.

I have a featherweight Winchester model 12 That colonial put tubes in. Being designated a featherweight you know the barrel is as thin as possible.
