I've got a 25.06 my dad hand built back in the late 60's(before it was truly commercially available) when he built it, he painted the barrel black and it lasted years along with cheap touch-ups. After he passed in 83 the gun got put away and fired only a handful of times but it just looks rough due to the painted finish. I'm debating on having it stripped and blued vs. having it parkerized. Any advantages of one over the other, best bang for the buck or other advise would be appreciated. Just doing it as a way to care for my dads old gun. Sentimentally it will never leave my possession! Thanks in advance, Bill
