    Do any of you know anyone that sells live blue crabs? I'm looking for 5-8 dz and more importantly that doesn't charge a $12 for a gallon sized ziptop bag that only has 6 small ones in it.

    Thanks in advance! :hungry::hungry::hungry:

    Really, that MUCH???? Wow. I went floundering about 10 nights ago and we (3 of us) caught 63 big blue crabs in about 20 minutes (skipped over the little/medium sized ones). They were everywhere, maybe starting to breed or something? But they were all in this 1 area. We were scooping them 4-5 at a time in a regular 4' long handle crab net. There were 100's of them, maybe 1000's, but we didn't want to over limit and settled with the 63. Went back the next night and none were there?? Anyway, we gave them all away for Free. Wow, I must've had a small fortune there. lol But if I'd known beforehand you would wanted them, I'd gave them to you (free). I'll keep you in mind the next time we scoop a bunch up. Just send me a PM with a # to call you (it may be a 3am call?).

    I would call around seafood markets and ask for a bushel or 1/2 bushel price, they should sell them that way and by size and gender.

    :shakes fist angrily: DANG IT! You are getting a PM :)

    I used to have a guy (Crab man) that would sell them by the container full. 6-8 dz for $60. He ended up selling off all his stuff. it was a sad day for me. I have a crab trap and the Filipino in me should instinctively know how to catch the little yummy things, but I have never succeeded. :frusty:

    Thank you!
