Bay county public range

Just a heads up for anyone in the area that doesn't already know. The Bay county public range opens today at 9am. The fees are $10/day for each shooter.

It's just off Hwy 79 next to the Steel Field landfill. The address is 11411 Landfill Rd. I hope to check it out this weekend.

Did they complete the 300 yard range or is it just 100 ard now?

I heard this morning that phase 1 was 100 and 50 yard rifle and 50 yards pistol. They may be planning for the 300 yard mark later.

I'm assuming you must bring own targets and such?

I grew up in Panama City. I used to go out Transmitter road to the clay pits and shoot all the time... back in the 70's and 80's everyone did. Of course back then I also camped on Lake Merrill, Gap Pond, Lukus Pond and Blue Springs. Those days are long gone but great memories in Bay County.
