Improve like level and smooth or add aggregate? We live on Galliver Cutoff and a couple of years ago my wife had someone put milled asphalt on the front of our driveway at our gate, I'll see if she can remember who it was.

I live very close to you.

The driveway is level just has two ruts just starting out.

Poured concrete would be ideal, but that would probably be a quarter million dollars.

She said that she found the guys on Facebook and can't remember who they were. When people stop at our gate, it's always in the same place and the sand would get rutted out so bad I had to pull a couple of people out with the tractor. These guys charged 500.00 to put around 60' of milled asphalt 3" deep and the width of the driveway up at our gate. Best 500 bucks I ever spent.

Here's what well have to work with.
The dry pond is on the left.
    Cliff to the right.
I'm curious...I need to remove about 15-20 mature pines...could I get a logger to pay me to harvest them?

Keystone Masonry in Atmore is who I have recently used. Mark Stoltzfus is the owner is former old order Amish. This is the only concrete contractor I did not have to clean up after. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Reliable and excellent quality work ethic!

Does anyone have experience building in FL? Iv pulled my own permits for electrical panel, and new roofing, but Im curious what I'll need permits for in a barndo (electrical, plumbing, etc.) The builder is pulling for the structure.

Depends on the county you're building in. In Walton county you really don't need any permits as an owner if you live north of the bay. I pulled a $500 permit for my barn and all my neighbors told me I wasted my money as an owner. None of them ever pull permits as owners up here. They just build it and in 2-3 years the PA will come around and ask if they're finished. Then their tax bill will go up a little bit the next year. After talking to the planning and building folks I think they are correct. The county's focus is 100% on the beach area and they just don't care what goes on up in the northern (rural) part of the county. No money in it for them. Funny thing about Walton county is they have the reputation of being very difficult to work with if you do build near the beach. Okaloosa is pretty much the same if you are way up in the northern part of the county.
