    DOA in the Senate.
That's kind of what I'm thinking too, unless enough of the Senate changed their minds over the last bill that was passed, assault weapon bans+magazine capacity bans were a non-starter.

Hearing that this is more of a gesture to say they plan on doing something vs nothing. But I'm still uncomfy to the idea, that after recently trying to pass a similar bill that fell flat on it's face as the Senate decided on some legislation without their input, that they're gonna go ahead with something more restrictive.

Maybe there's something I'm not catching with all of this, maybe the Republican senators turncoating? Maybe they plan on loosing all the stuff for AWB items, but plan on getting the Safe Storage portion passed once it's all chopped up?
