Finally decided to go with 7.62x39 for my pistol project. Used a PSA lower with RRA buffer tube. The upper is flattop with a nickel-boron BCG, MGI bolt, Zombie finned 7.5" barrel, carbine length rail and Krinkov style flash suppresor. I have a Vortex Strikefire red dot which I may change. Haven't shot it yet but that will happen soon.

I shoot a SBR with an 11 1/2" 7.62x39 upper. For less mag length sticking out for when shooting from a bench, I tried several 20 round .223 mags and found one that would feed and function with about 5-6 rounds (others would only work with about 4 rounds). I'm using a Model One bolt with their "enhanced" 7.62x39 firing pin with no failures to fire with 535 rounds fired to date.

Went to the range his morning, WOW!! It was fun, like a Mosin M44 without the kick. Now I need a red dot FUGAPUNT, Ill take the Vortex if you still have it.

Added a different mount for the Vortex, a cover for the buffer tube, a Magpul B.A.D. lever and quad rail covers. Test fired it Friday morning and it was awesome, tried to get back there this weekend to sight in the Vortex but couldn't find the time. I'm gonna try this coming weekend to go again. The only other thing I might do is put an Ergo grip on it.

I figured with a lifetime warranty I could abuse the heck out of it and if it doesn't work I'll send it back. How's the EoTech? I thought about going that route but wasn't sure about the Eotech in bright light.
