    I originally used a bfh and socket, was informed that ain't the way to do it. Dunno why its slippin out but not broke

    I've always done the BFH and socket thing. Never used a press. If you're worried about damage from the BFH, you could do just as well with a big ol' C clamp with big and small sockets and just crank away. To buy one would probably set you back about the same as what you're offering to use a press. ;)

    Use needle nose pliers to remove the keeper, and beat the other way.. once you slip the yoke rinse and repeat

    You don't need a press just hit that thing with a BFH and an impact socket. or a rivet gun works great also. and wd40 of course. If you want to drive as far as the Pensacola national naval aviation museum I can help you out with that.
