Figured I'd see the what, if, how, and why, of y'alls thoughts on Tanfoglio pistols. I started out with Glocks, and still love them but realized the grip angle really is a PITA in comparison. How did I come to that realization you may ask, well it was from handling a friends CZ pistol. It fit my hand like a glove, shot dead on, and pretty soft. The grip angle of CZ/Tanfoglio pistols are very similar, clones of each other mostly, and very similar to 1911's so that is a big plus. I shoot much better with the new pistols, the DA pull is actually much easier to manage with some practice than I initially thought.

I now own a CZ75B which is my daily carry piece, but compete with a Tanfoglio Stock 2 in USPSA. There are some really trick parts out there to for CZ's, Cajun Gun Works is highly regarded but not as many for Tanfo's, however, Patriot Defense over here in Texas is putting out some really cool stuff.

Hopefully, since we dodged the democrat control, a few more Tanfo's will come into my collection. So who own's a Tanfo and what do you think?

    Moved to the handguns section.

I had a Tanfo Elite Limited in 10mm/.40 for a short while, until I bought my first 2011.

I have yet to handle a Stock 2, but I liked the larger frame of the Limited.

I had a Tanfo Witness 40 cal and had cycling problems the whole time I owned it until I got rid of it. Not your top of the line Tanfo but that was my experience.

They are now notorious for tight chambers. Possible they have always been that way. I've got to load my 9mm down to 1.1". I have not had any function issues.

I have the 9mm Steel Witness. Has run 100% and accurate in the two years that I have owned it. It's a keeper!

I had the same pistol but lucky for me, it ran flawlessly. Only sold it because I thought I needed something else.

THE top of the line model will be for sale in 3 weeks, with ALL the goodies you need for racing for a solid deal. If you want a Tanfo (which you do), you REALLY want to standby for this one.

Had an opportunity to pick up a cz cloned Tanfo back in the early 90's from a neighbor while in the Marines...never heard of them back then, passed it up.

My first and still favorite is a .45 Witness. It was actually stolen when my house was broken into and was missing for a year before it turned up in a pawn shop and was returned to me by the cops. I lock it up now.
A close 2nd in my heart is 9mm Sar BcP Compact. Works the same, is just as accurate, and it's black so it goes with everything I wear.
