any places to hunt within an hour or two of fort walton?

I'm stationed on hurlburt field, afb and have been itching to go hunting but didnt know what florida had to offer. Being from indiana , deer, turkey, and your every day varmints are my area of expertise. I've always wanted to go hog hunting. any referrals or help is appreciated!
OH, and the only rifle i have available down here without shipping one from back home is my smith and wesson M&p 15T. .556/.223. :yo:

Eglin is not open year round for hunting. Permits are good from 1 Oct - 30 Sep. Jackson Guard has the season dates.

To jump in here, I think the statement "Sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness than for permission" is 12arodman's signature. It's been on many of his posts. I don't think he was referring to this particular situation.

If that is what he was talking about then yes that was my signature , but as it seemed to cause an issue (not intended ) I turned it off. I'm using tapatalk and it gives you the option to change it

Ah. That's why it was showing up as text in your post, not below the line like a normal signature.

Thanks. We are humans with poor tools of communication even in these times of techno advances. Not all devices are created equal.
