Able to play with the new .260

Looks like my rifle ended up liking the 140gr ELDM over the 130gr Berger AR hybrids. I think I might do one more range trip experimenting with seating depth before I start the powder charge. Might experiment between .020-.040 in .005 incruments. But here are some of the groups from the trip, now if I can eventaully do my part, I might be able to get this rifle to shoot .400 center to center or less. The up close groups all measured about .500-.550 center to center. Powder charge will be done at 200 yards.

I haven't clocked them yet but if I had to guess, coming from the 22" barrel, probably 2650-2700 fps. I won't clock them until I play with powder charger which will be 45.8, 46, 46.2, 46.4, 46.6 grins of H4831SC. If I can find a decent 1/2 group or better in the 2700-2800 fps I'll be happy.

Reason I was asking . is I have been playing with around 2650 to 2750 with a 140 A-max in my 6.5 Creedmoor looking at around 2650 to 2700 .been getting 3/8 to 1/2 in at 100 yds. Just my 5 cents jj
