It was an experiment. It isn't intended to be a high volume shooter. We wanted to see if we could get it to near 100% reliable functioning. Then, load it up to carry as a "beater" in the woods - hoping to never have to shoot .460 Rowland in self defense against dangerous wildlife.
I have no doubt that it will survive several hundred rounds to reach that goal. But, it certainly will not be a range gun or handgun used for hunting purposes.
Think of it as the fire extinguisher or sprinkler system that you hope to never use - but are glad it's there...
That as is a fair reason. I think I had a couple thousand rounds through my gun of varying levels between ".45 Super" and ".45 Nuclear," so certainly they saw different uses! For a while it was my primary carry and HD gun, so it was seeing a few hundred rounds a month set up to shoot 1000+ ft/lb loads.
