458 socom

Building a 458 SOCOM, Plan on reloading due to Ammo cost. Anyone reloading this caliber and any powder recommendations? Lil gun has been recommended, but hard to find.

Mike's has it. On Hwy 29 in Cantonment. You can also use Lil Gun.
Yeah . . . . reloading is a must for these type of weapons. Even still you should not expect to get below about a dollar a shot. I owned a 50Beowulf for some years and the brass and bullets can get pretty expensive. --- SAWMAN

I used to own a 458 and reloaded for it. I can't remember what powders I used, but I can check when I get home this evening.

I'd appreciate any information you have. I called Mikes this afternoon, they said no lil gun on the shelf. but not in a hurry, so ill keep looking. I don't expect the ammo to be cheap, just more affordable. Factory ammo prices are crazy high.

I just checked and I used IMR 4198 for both 500gr and 325gr projectiles.
