35 Whelen?

? I'm beginning to wonder if 250 yards is farther in AK than 250 yards in, say, TX?

My brother loads 35 Whelen for one of his friends. I never thought much of the round until I read the ballistics. I think it'll bring down anything with claws or
hooves.

i had a buddy up in fairbanks that always moose hunted with a .35 whelen he always brought home the steaks with that gun it is a great round.

Dad hunted Colorado and Ak with the 35 whelen in a Mauser action. 3 elk 1 Moose and a bear and all with 1 shot according to him all were 200-275 yards except for the bear....who from what he said stuck his nose in the wrong tent. I hunted colorado 2 times with him and all i got to shoot were Mulies but using his 35 took one at 265 yards 1 shot and he dropped like he was sledgehammered. Its a respectable round that does its job. I want pics of that baby-G LOL
