Stay away from mag fed 22lr Savage bolt guns. About ten years ago I bought 2 of them Savages brand new "for my kids" and one of them was a fluted and threaded bull barrel for my suppressor. I couldn't get either of them to cycle right. I went with a couple 10/22 rifles and I also had a Ruger bolt gun that took 10/22 mags, and I never looked back. Flawless.
