I don't want to dress like a Cowboy. I sure appreciate the offer of a loaned firearm. I think maybe going to one of these events & watching how it works might be a good idea first.

OK, dates and how complete noob friendly will this be? I've always wanted to do something like this! I'm your occasional shooter that doesn't get to shoot much due to kids and life. But something like this has been on the bucket list for a while!

Come on out to idpa this month. The gun safety, basic formatting, RO commands and the "how" of shooting a stage.are best picked learned ( in my opinion) by picking up a pistol and shooting a match. Or just hang out ,help paste, check out the gear, ask questions. Been doing this for 8 months now. The thing that struck me the most. Everybody from the best shooters to the the newbies are willing to help and advise. The biggest mistake I made was time wasted, lurking and practice on my own. Hope to see you

I agree it's bones. Get you feet wet on a pistol match or two then do the two gun match.

OK, thanks for the tips. I have no idea where to start with this stuff. But I want to learn and then get my kids involved in some sort of competition shooting eventually too over time.
