    Took this in trade from a member several years back,a build using vintage USGI parts, was used for 3 gun competition mid eighties.What is unique about this build are some of the components used.The slide that is used is the legendary 779 Hard Slide,graded 5 using the Rockwell test,used by Colt on some of their early 70 series military match pistols,Army and Airforce pistol teams,this one is marked TZ denotes a federal contract to IMI Israeli Military Industries ,Colt barrel, the frame is a hardened alloy sn # F1258 by RMT Ranger Machine and Tool,Calif,vintage rear adj Kensight, high front blade, 3 magazines included,1 Chip McCormick,1 Ruger,1 USGI Colt,very good condition,shoots great,$700.00 OBO.     No,it is in the ad,hardened alloy frame,made by RMT, Ranger machine tool El Monte Calif some time in the late sixties,were one of the first companies to machine alloy frames for 1911's.

    No it has not been throated,but a good local gun smith could do it without a problem,easier fix would be to get a couple of Check Mate wadcutter mags and polish up the feed ramp.
