Changed a trigger spring on one of my hunting rifles, brought it down from 4.5 lbs to 3.0. Easy enough to do and the weight is exactly what I was looking for.

You really need an 20 inch 1:12 a1 upper, with orginal triangle handguards and stock, anything else is bud light territory. Luckly I can save you.

My son helped me with MODs to my STEN. Improved steel trigger (lighter pull and less slop) from the stamped sheet metal orginal version. Also added a folding stock. There is a company that will laser cut parts when you send them a CDA file. We measured parts with a caliper and my son created a CAD file based on the measurements. The laser cut parts use Supper Glue Epoxy for permeant assembly. It is very strong and setups in 10 minutes. The parts still need to be parkerized. I plan to do that at home in a few days.

Stamped trigger left and all steel trigger installed.

Parts in the white. I plan to parkerize at home in a few days.

Brief STEN MK2 history. The STEN was designed and built a few months after Dunkirk. Since most the army's hardware was on the wrong side of the channel. The Brits needed guns now. Some ideas for design were browed from German Machine Pistol's. I think they should have just copied the German guns and the Australian Owen's. The single shot selector is a mistake. Sub guns are meant to be full auto only. The rate of fire is slow enough you don't need select fire. Accuracy poor thanks to the crude sights and lack of suitable grips. The Brits wanted a gun that could be built with hand tools in a shed and most of it can. They wasted time and material by having a select fire system. The time and material should have been used to improve handling and sighting. Through the war they kept making these improvements. Want to guess what the improvements were? The mark 5 and 6 came out the last years of the war.
