    not trying to derail but this is a nickel plated model 13 S&W, having been produced from 1974 till 1999. these were purpose built with LEO use in mind. great revolvers from S&Ws hey-day of goodness... if i had a grand laying around, i'd snatch this beaut up quick! GLWS on a truly fine piece...

    This revolver was never owned by the Santa Rosa County Sheriffs Office. It was owned by Mr. Sam Mullins, who registered it with the Sheriffs Office back when that was a service offered by the SO. I am retired from SRSO and I actually knew Mr Mullins for many years. It looks like a fine revolver.
