WTT Real M14 for 7.62x51/308 AR *Molino, FL

So, you're saying it's an M14M...?...cuz an M14 would have a selector, unless converted to an M series, or 21. If it's an 'M', it may or may not be marked as such. I only know of maybe 35-40, EVER, Springfield armory mfgd, true M14, BATF legal, semi-auto receivers. The rest were BATF classified...

Anybody Have a Ruger American ?

That's what I said, initially...as some I saw were touching the bbl, out of the box. Mine is straight, no warpage. I've found that using the finger grooves, and not ham fisting, gives plenty of purchase, and doesn't get your hand up on the thin parts. It's also not an issue flexing upward, from...

Anybody Have a Ruger American ?

They're flimsy enough, that just gripping the sides with normal pressure can cause it to touch the barrel. It hasn't caused issues, because we know it can be a problem. You also cannot buy ANY other/aftermarket stock for the RAR, at this time.

Anybody Have a Ruger American ?

The forearms I've seen on some in the stores are wha has kept me off the bandwagon....until I caught a 20% off sale at a store about 2 weeks back. $311, out the door, for. .308 for my 13yr old. I mounted a FFII, 3-9x40, that I had paying around, and got it dialed with 168gr match, and it dropped...

      FS 1903A3 Project Rifle 30-06 ** Pensacola**

I worked building rifles with a guy one summer in Pascagoula over 20 years ago, and we used a lot of these actions for big bore and dangerous game rifles. They're some of the strongest military actions ever made, and have room for most all the belted magnums. Wish I could remember half of what I...

      35 Whelen?

? I'm beginning to wonder if 250 yards is farther in AK than 250 yards in, say, TX?;)

      35 Whelen?

It seems logical to just go with the 30-06 to Whelen, on face. However, outside of bolt actions, the .358 has a better shoulder and straighter, more efficient size. Either is a great .35, though. Post pics once you get it.

      35 Whelen?

You could chamber that M1 in .358 Winchester, and it possibly be a better fit for the platform, with regards to recoil, gas regulation, wear, etc. it'll do whatever the Whelen will to 250-300....especially with hand loads and <250gr bullets

      Opinions on .300 win mag??

.257 bob, 25-06, .260, 6.5x55, 6.8, .270, .280, 7x57, .308, 30-06....and many I've left out, will DRT a deer, if you do your part...with less noise and recoil. Nothing wrong with 300 win mag, but justifying a 'need' for it, when it comes to southern deer, is tail chasing. Plenty are killed up...

      $35 DIY AR Trigger Job

Just not sure if the same treatment will work reliably on a 308 AR.

      35 Whelen?

...which is why I went .358 Winchester....that and factory ammo can be had. Mine shoots 356 Winchester, also, (6" lower POI).
