      Any CCW instructors?

Legal Weapon LLC is a female owned company that instructs Concealed Carry classes in Santa Rosa. Instruction is at the Santa Rosa Shooting Center. My instructor has taught firearms in the military, Sheriff's Department and civilian environments. We place emphasis on Use of Force, Firearm Florida...

      CCW with medical card

I'm not sure of other states, but in Florida it is unlawful for someone to have a CCW and a Medical Marijuana Card issued to them. Kind of like having a CDL and a regular driver's license, it's one or the other or serious consequences will take place.

I know it’s kind of a pet peeve for a lot of people SO Magazine or clip

Don't sweat the petty things... Don't pet the sweaty things. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend. Remember what it's all about.

      Corvette A/C service ??

Try checking for blown fuses or broken/loose compressor belt. Is there any oily residue (leak) on the AC hose fittings? The owner's manual may be of some limited assistance. Youtube has helped me save lots of money in the past by showing me how to fix things myself. If all else fails, give...

      Out with the old...

I would start by looking at websites of high end name brand manufacturers of 1911 match grade pistols, such as Kimber, Sig, Colt and Springfield Armory. They have shops that modify and upgrade their pistols using after market sights. Usually match grade pistols have larger than average sights to...

      What sight would you choose?

Thanks for everyone's input. There was a couple of name brands I have to read about.

Recommendations for self defense (non firearm) training

I took Gracie style when I worked overseas. It is very practical. Physical altercations that last seems to always go to the floor. Most people who train to protect themselves fail to train in ground fighting. Just a friendly suggestion, Brazilian style and boxing would be well rounded to meet...

      What sight would you choose?

The M4 will go through an upgrade (floating match grade barrel, trigger assembly) intended to make the rifle agile at various ranges intended up to 600-800 yards. I have a 3X converter so high power isn't needed. I don't want to go over $500 (rings not included) for the scope. Im in the planing...

      What sight would you choose?

I am looking for a low power quick response name brand sight for a .556mm M4. What would you choose and why?

So tell me...What training do YOU want?

The Concealed Carry class that I teach at Santa Rosa abides by their range rules. That means that students are not allowed to draw from a holster and rapid fire. The range is not set up for tactical movements so I can't instruct it there for safety reasons. I'm working on changing that at...

      Local Machinist Gun Smith

You are correct about his work. I had him bevel the magazine well on my 1911. The job was professional. For what ever reason, he was unable to mill the front sight for me.

      Local Machinist Gun Smith

Im glad you got the service you paid for. I took the advice of a co-worker that swore by them. It was a toss of the dice.

      Local Machinist Gun Smith

In February I dropped my Springfield Armory off to have a dovetail milled into the slide of my 1911 G.I. at Precision Tactical. Since then, I have inspected it, shot it several times and had time to think things over. Here are my impressions. First, A quoted "out the door" price should be...

      Self defense shooting NWFL

That was an interesting response. What is your legal training and experience?
