I have been looking for a nice VP9 Tactical model and finally found one over the weekend at a local estate sale, I paid $450 for the pistol and had the original box, 3 mags, factory night sights and doc's. It's been sitting in the previous owners safe for a while and the thread protector on the barrel won't come off, but not worried, going to take it to a local gunsmith and see if he can get it off or just send it to HK and have them do it. I really will never use the threaded barrel and can still clean the gun, just makes it a little tricky getting the barrel clean, but not a big deal for me. Going to take it to the range today and run some rounds through and see how it shoots. I am happy with my new toy.

FYI, that barrel is probably “backwards” threaded. Righty-loosey. M13.5 x 1LH.
Just in case you were expecting 1/2x28RH...

I looked at the original doc's and it is righty-loosey, but still won't come off, not worried, going to run some rounds through it and let the barrel get hot and then try to get it off.

Cycled a box of 50 through my HK VP9 Tactical at the range today, I love the way the VP series of pistols shoot and the ergo grip is superb. This is 10 yards, defensive draw and shoot.

A little earlier today, I ordered another Beretta from EuroOptic. This one is a 92X Performance Carry Optic. Last night, I ordered a C-More RTS2B - V5 Micro Red Dot Sight (6MOA) for it. I am looking forward to getting this Beretta. I have been looking to get one for a while. According to EuroOptic, it is shipping out today and it should arrive at the FFL tomorrow.

Went to my friend's house who can no longer reload. This should be the last trip picking up stuff to sell he told me. Picked up the last of his casting lead...165 pounds of wheel weight type ingots and 80 pounds of linotype. .223, 5.56, 45acp, and .410 shotgun ammo he wants me to sell. He found more cast bullets, may be enough cast bullets to advertise to sell. Altogether he had over 1000 pounds of bullet casting metal I brought home over multiple trips. A friend of his and I bought it all and split it up between us. He wanted me to take the rest of the 9mm brass...told him it doesn't sell well, and I've only sold 1,008 pieces so far, but I've got it if someone is gonna get into reloading 9mm...you know me, I'll throw in extra. Also a big Tupperware type of storage box with reloading dies...no idea of what dies are there...that's another inventory project.

Unloading the truck today. Will look up ammo prices and price his stuff to sell at less. No, I don't know how much ammo there is to sell...it's in many ammo cans and cardboard boxes. Will post stuff for sale as I get it inventoried.

He showed me bags of scope rings and let me pick through and take some sets of 1" rings for my Contender barrels. He was organizing and tagging pistol grips to sell at a gun show until his hands hurt and he had to stop...I picked out a nice set of old school smooth N frame S&W target grips to go on my Model 25-2...they're not walnut but Goncaldo Alvez (I know I butchered the name...feel free to correct me). I put some furniture oil on them, let them soak about 15 minutes and wiped them off. They look nice.

All in all, a productive day.

Might not be an original barrel

You should strategically relocate to Pensacola. As much as you enjoy this forum, selling everything you buy and shooting things, you'd be happier :)

The more prominent semi professional dealers seem to be centered in and around Pensacola, but there are folks from all over that buy and sell occasionally. I’ve dealt as far south as Stuart , east to Jacksonville and west to Mobil. :)

I finally got the thread protector on my HK VP9 Tactical off, the previous owner must have used loctite, I bought a cheap butane lighter, heated it up and using a pair of pliers and a piece of leather, it came right off. I am a happy camper.
