It would not hold up in court and could lead to a Supreme Court ruling that would not help the democrats.
I think it would hold up in court. There's already an exorbitant tax on Class3 items that was intended to discourage possession by common Americans... but inflation ate that $200 tax right up. The precedent has been set

That will guarantee all of these senseless hillbilly mass murderers, will stop the killing spree. 1000% tax on Busch beer will sober them up too. At least we can still get a free abortion and clot shot!
My answer is if there are any constitutionalists left in this cesspool, stop charging tax, and stop paying tax! NOW LETS MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CRISIS.
    Chicago, 47 shot, 9 dead.
    Philadelphia, 11 shot 3 dead.
    Chattanooga, 14 shot, 3 dead.
    So on, so on.

Trying to understand how the same people who are pro abortion( killing babies) are also trying to take firearms from people over a psycho that shot up an elementary school?

    That doesn’t make logical sense.

Its sad to see that certain politicians are using the tragic death of these kids as a spring board to advance their policy. Sick.

The folks with children in elementary schools obviously didn't elect to have an abortion. Taking away firearms won't effect abortions, but they believe it might slow down children getting shot in elementary schools. But WE ALL Know that the only thing stopping a BAD GUY with a gun, is a Good Guy with a gun that shoots faster & more accurately. JMHO.

That and figuring out how to reach the type. (Edit- before they act)

Was interesting when Nader said eighteen year olds brains weren’t developed enough to own a AR 15. ( According to studies.) Matt Gatez asked why not raise the draft to twenty one as well. His response is the government needs enough bodies to defend itself. Ok. But the Democrats think a six year old can pick their gender? What study? (You can’t count a big donation from a billionaire pervert as a study.) They are so sick in the head it isn’t funny anymore.

That was a great video when he hit the wall with the 18yo military explanation. I think he meant we are pawns.

Absolute lunacy , these nutcases are more than just comical. It is amazing how brilliant they think they are. I guarantee you they’ll have protection with armed guards that have AR15’s close at hand.

SHHHH. They don't realize they are an issue too.
Which shows just how dumb they are....until they define what is an "AR 'style' rifle". It'll be anything better than a slingshot.
It will be a blanket legislation over all semiautos, the one common denominator all AR's, service rifles, PCC's, rifle caliber pistols and pistol caliber pistols have in common

ARs are already going up in price. I got interested i a Ruger AR556 a week ago and started to price them on GB. Since the Uvalde shooting they've gone up about $100.

That may look like pocket change if they get anything remotely close to this proposal passed. While I don't really think they'll get it this go round, I've always felt the tax/fee angle would be what was used to price 99%+ out of all shooting sports (i.e. ammo taxed at $1.00+ a round to got to a "victim recovery fund", which will get used about like any other fund created by the feds). But, if your intent is to engage in mayhem that you know likely will result in your end, do you really care how much your gear cost? Just buy it on credit cards you'll never pay.
