I was picking up some range ammo at academy yesterday, it was like buying water before a hurricane. People were grabbing it almost as fast as the employees were putting it on the shelves.

All the 9mm online is gone. Most of the 223 budget stuff is gone, what's in stock the price is up already. Election year too. May not be able to get any.

I love it when panic buying starts. Foolish people wait until there is some sort of scare before buying ammo. I am one who believes to keep a substantial stockpile of the ammo one should have on-hand. I do not have to panic buy and that is comforting. If I want to buy more ammo, I can wait for as long as it takes to add more rounds to my stock. The things is, since ammo prices have been really reasonable for the past few years, there is no reason why people should not have been stocking up. There is an old saying, "he who hesitates is lost" and that applies to the fools who want to start buying during a panic situation. The soon find themselves without or paying too much for what they manage to find.

I have a few hundred rounds of defensive ammo stocked and a couple hundred rounds of hunting ammo, but I've been teaching the wife and kids to shoot something other than .22, so burned through all my 9mm ball. I managed to snag 200 rounds of 124gr (which my Beretta prefers) but there was no 5.56 bulk ammo on the shelves and most 115gr bulk 9mm was gone. I really need to get a press for reloading my 9mm in the near future.

I don't buy ammo but I did just order 2000 more 9mm bullets.

I’ve got lead and molds for pistols but I could use some more bullets for reloading rifle cartridges as I only have a couple thousand
