I like 1911s just as much as any other gun guy but...poly guns are fun too.

Missed IDPA today thanks to working past 1AM this morning due to someone attempting to defraud us out of about $1.2 million yesterday. On the upside, my C&R license arrived today!

I've done my fair share of playing with Glocks. great handguns but don't get carried away with mods. before you know it, you have yourself a $1k plus polymer pistol and a band-aid to a bad trigger discipline. spend the money on ammo and send rounds down range. I know of many master class shooters that puts a whoopin' with a factory Glock trigger. good luck with your project

I am working on this glock just for fun and the experience. I want to tell my gun friends that I had a project glock that looks and functions badass, so I can be the holy diviner of the group, lol. Right now I spent $300 on the glock so far, (trigger and sights). I may do slide work with an RMR after I pay off some of my credit debt. Or sell my rifle.

My trigger skill is fine, but I want to keep all my pistols triggers almost alike, without actually having them all the same exact gun. Which includes a very short reset and travel.

After being ruined with 1911s I'd like to have a higher capacity 9mm polymer gun. I thought about just doing a Glock 19 w/ a zev drop in trigger and calling it a day. I prefer an XDM over a glock any day of the week but there really isn't much aftermarket support besides PRP. I would look into a sig with a srt but after dealing with their customer service ill never own a sig again.

I definitely will post pics of my progress. I am actually waiting on my SRT kit and FDE grips for my P226, I might replace the sights with red fiber optic, but I am iffy about my skills installing the front sight. Hopefully it will come in this Friday. What happened with Sig's Customer Service?

Just finished being a keyboard warrior for the day. Doing a lot of research on finding a way to have my gun locked at all times in the Jeep (since I don't lock the doors) but having the ability to get to it without a key. Off to break in my shotgun and more practice with the XDS.

Seems my Dillon 9mm resizing die has gone down for the count. The brass collar won't tighten to hold the decapping pin. Pretty sure the collar has become deformed and won't engage the threads on the stemn, but I'm not in a hurry to possibly destroy another collar or dork up the threads on a stem from another die. So, I guess I'll have to put 9mm on hold until the Dillon phone lines open up tomorrow....

Also took my sons out to the lease today to put up some cameras and bait a couple areas. Zeroed in his new 10/22. Nice little gun. He loved it. His eyes got huge this morning when he opened it up. He ended up shooting some soda cans and loved it when the popped!

Then had a small bbq at the marina on base here.

Had a couple drinks for some buddies who never returned. Overall a great day.
