Glad you got home in time to visit with and talk to your dad. While he’s in a better place the grief of losing him is a real pain in your soul

Thank yall for the kind words and prayers. Means alot. Thank you!
It's tough but we'll get thru it. Had a tough afternoon but got a new toy out and fiddled with it to take my mind off of it.
Tomorrow is funeral arrangement stuff. He's being cremated, no service but we will have a cookout for the family Saturday. So we'll be talking and telling stories.
He was a truck driver for over 50 years ( wow) He received a nice ruby ring for traveling over a million miles from one of the companies he worked for.
Hauled everything imaginable. Crashed space shuttle parts, Bees, lots of other things, I can't recall at the moment. Had multiple SD encounters. Some firearm, some hand to hand. All that 101st Airborne MP training actually came in handy.
That's how I will remember him. Glass of Evan Williams, camel no filter screwed in the corner of his mouth telling an outrageous story. That's my Dad.
