I have to depart from the ship. My father (85) who's been under hospice care is not doing very well. Flying back home tomorrow to spend some time with him and my mother. This will probably be the last chance I get to visit with him before he goes.
I've been thinking of all the things I need to tell him. I knew this was coming but it's still unbearable.

Hope you are there in time, mom is 88 and under Hospice care now. We are all born owning a death, but nothing makes it easier when it is a loved one. Be strong bro.

I got home just in time. Went straight from the airport and visited him. He couldn't talk just smile and nod his head. Spent about 4 hours with him.
Was taking care of home stuff this am and got the call. He passed today.we were just getting ready to go over there.
I'm glad I got to talk and say somethings that needed saying and I was able to hug him and kiss his head before he left. I know he's free now in good health and with his brothers, mom and dad.
I feel blessed that I had a good dad.
