XDS vs Shield

Anyone have an XDS45 and a Shield 40 me and my wife can shoot before we make a decision on our next ccw? We're around cantonment but can travel a little bit to test fire them. An lcp380 would be good too as I think that's what she's getting in a few months. If you have any or all and don't mind going shooting a little bit shoot me a pm.

I have a Shield 9mm, XDS45, XDS9, and a LCP and could meet at Oakridge or Santa Rosa some time later in the week.
Do Not have a Shield 40 though

How far is oakridge, I'm down with Santa Rosa if that's off quintette. I also have a place in mcdavid we can shoot for free if it's as close. The shield 9 would be ok and I'll pay store price for ammo we use also. A Saturday or Sunday would be best if your available.

For what its worth I like how my XDS 9 shoots over the shield, but I prefer how the shield carries over the XDS... :tape2:

I do have both the XDS 45 & Sheild 40. I purchased the Sheild as an EDC while my XDS was sent back for recall.
It's a toss up really- both near the same size. The Sheild loaded feels a bit top heavy if that makes any sense. The recoil between the two is bit different. The 45 has more direct "kick" as is backward movement as the 40 like most has a good amount of muzzle rise. It's pretty "snappy". The Sheild does have a thumb safety as the XDS does not if that matters to you. The XDS 1911 style backstrap safety suites me fine. I really can't tell a difference while carrying....IWB or small of the back, I simply can't tell the difference. Zero failures from either gun with 500rds through the XDS and about 275 through the Sheild.
