Due to the size of my paws and the fact that I already have several carry guns, I'm interested in trading my P229 for a P226. My only requirement is that the 226 be railed and have night sights. I might also consider a P227.
My P229 is like new, it's railed, has night sights and an extremely low round count.
I'd take $700 cash but I'm more interested in trading at a value of $800. Happy to add cash for a special edition that tickles my fancy. Thanks.

Not a 226, I'll pass, thank you for your interest. Likewise.

    Hi Dante,
Does this have the SRT? I'm sorely tempted by it even though I'm currently saving for a 1911.

It's a very good gun, about the size of a G19, but more accurate and shootable in my opinion (hold off Glocknoscenti, it's my opinion).
As far as the trigger, I'm really not sure, but I do have a P226 Elite, and the trigger feels just as nice.
I love a good 1911, but unless you can get a good one, I wouldn't bother. However, if you're looking for a proven high capacity fighting gun that can also be concealed if need be, the P229 is your ticket.

You shouldn't let the lack of a short reset trigger stop you. You can purchase the kit for about $50 and install it yourself in about 10 minutes. I installed it on my Sig and it's easy.

Ooh, stainless elite! You wanna sell that one? Ha!

No, it's a P226 Elite SAO, which only comes in black, and I really don't want to sell it since it's quite hard to find.

Also, our fearless leader had problems with the stainless finish on a 226, so you're really better off with this one.

The P229 is sweet, and proven. Carried by US Marshalls and Secret Service as it offers concealability, reliability and capacity all in one package.

Gotcha. I recently sold a 229 .40. I liked the pistol but not the caliber.
That E grip looks comfortable. I'll pm you.
