This would the last gun I would ever part with. I've had it for 40 years, my older brother traded a car 8 track tape player for it.

Ranger Model 35; short, long and long rifle. My brother in law just redid the stock for me.

Growing up in Alabama, killed many a squirrel, bird and more. I can still recall a time I couldn't cock it without help.

my first gun to learn on period was an old S&W k22 3 screw. I asked mom about it and she sold it years ago. I wanted to beat her lol. In search of another.
All four of these my great grandchildren will learn to shoot on. I will never sell these 3/4 firearms, ever.

    my first
was about 7 yrs old and couldnt cock the hammer with my thumb so my dad kept it until I could. Mastered that task and got handed down to my younger brother when I got my first 870. Recent re-acquired and refinished the beat up old girl and now she sits very safe and sound in my cabinet.

all done, wood and metal with Birchwood Caseys refinishing kits. Great kits, great results.

My late Grandfather gave me a Glenfield Model 25 before I was 18. It was also the first gun my oldest son(3 at the time) fired.

Just before he died he also gave me my first pistol, an Old Model Ruger Blackhawk .357/9mm convertible.

ETA: I forgot that the Glenfield didn't have a mag when I got it, and the mag catch was distorted. Numrich Gun Parts Corp helped get it properly functioning.

Marlin 101. My first rifle at age 8 (a LONG time ago). Bolt action plus a T-handle you have to pull back to cock. Great gun with which to teach a kid shooting.

image.jpg my first gun was my father's Browning .22 semi auto. I still have it. We would go squirrel hunting when I was about 5 years old. On slow days my job was to shoot the nests, he shot whatever ran out.
image.jpg my first pistol I bought just last year, FNP .45 tactical
