Just picked up some russian PPU .223 ay wally today and wonderin if it is any good, it is brass and looks great. I always thought it was steel and paid no attention to it.
Fired some of this stuff the other week - and I'm not a gun person, but I swear all the brass I picked up was 'nicked' on some of the edges where the bullet was once seated. Thought it was odd at the time because all the Federal and Winchester my M&P has eaten comes out with clean edged brass. Other than that, it'll all went bang when required.
Privi Privitsan in Serbia is quite good. They are actually a supplier for Hornady these days, making much of Hornady's com-bloc offerings. I picked up a few boxes of Privi 100 gr 25-06 this fall and it has been consistently giving me 0.4-0.75 inch groups at 100. Not bad for $9 a box.
