Remington bolt release jambed up

Remington v3 sport. Has side carrier release button. It is Jambed and you can't depress the button. Bolt is open but not stuck open. Obviously won't close but when you pull on charging handle you can take up a 1/4 more back on the bolt.
Probably not something I can do in the field without complete disassembly. Ready to beat it with a hammer.

Sounds like time to dissemble and deep clean. I had a piece of glue in stock come loose and get in action and locked up too
