How loud is it and does it gum up the rifling or otherwise cause any issues with the gun?

It's about as loud as a high power pellet gun. Yeah it leaves a little wax in the rifling. The actual recipe is a 50/50 beeswax and paraffin blend. That comes right out with powder blast solvent. As to cats not liking them...I have no knowledge of that. Lmao

A note on McMillan fiberglass blanks..they're Damn tough and the stuff they fill them with cuts with about the same ease as a diamond. 9 hours of work and the discovery that there is a void about 1/2" wide and 2" long right where the rear pillar was going !!!! So now we wait for mcmillan to send a patch kit. Great customer service BTW. Overnight shipping. And after I told them I bought the blank secondhand.

IMAG0877.jpg Everything shown here was done with basic hand tools, a dremel tool and a drill press. the adjustable buttplate required a little lathe work to thread the adjustment lead screw but could have used stainless allthread , just too darn lazy to go to the hardware and get some. Stock color is Duracoat by LCW. Action and barrel is Cerracoat. Grip padding on the stock is....Truck bed liner straight out of the spray can with a little texturing done with a sponge brush. :) Detachable box magazine is currently on order. inletting for Badger Ordnance 10 round detach is already done internally just needs to be opened up a little when the factory bottom metal is removed.

Very nice. After seeing this I'm ready to sell my AR and get to building myself a precision rifle now.

And as they say.. the proof is in the shooting. here is a 10 round group shot at 100 yards for eval ( How do you measure this group size:usa2: ??) . 168 gr Match BTHP over 46 grains of BLC-2 ignited by CCI BR2 primers in neck turned Lapua cases. Cant wait to blow it out to 1000 .308.jpg

MOA that's awesome what kind is and where can I get the butt plate setup and does it eat a lot of recoil

I hand built the buttplate setup. It seems to work quite well so far. As to reducing recoil not sure. It's a 15 lb rifle so recoil is pretty much zero.
