There was a somewhat similar speech given by someone in the Australian Parliament a while back. All reasonable words to live by. I have a feeling we're all heading towards much more conflict as the general populace of each country grows tired of "certain ethnic/religious groups" flowing in en masse and demanding special considerations. It might be kinda fun to watch when Putin gets to clearing the house.

Putin is something else. He's a real strong man. Think of some of the crap he had to put up with on his watch - the Chechens' attacks on that school in Beslan, the Moscow theater siege, Moscow subway bombings, etc. And who knows there may have been more that they kept secret. His appraisal of the cultural suicide in much of the West is spot on.
