What timeless music. First heard of them in 1973 and now I'm 60 years old and still listen to it as loud as I can stand it. Not getting a chance to see them in concert in their hayday is a huge regret.

I played "The Dark Side of the Moon" on my 8 track until it was just a mass of splices, still considered to be the best selling album of all time.

They get my vote as best band ever.

Ah yes. If you think about it Pink Floyd may very well be the cause of some of our GCF members in the 35-45 -age bracket being conceived in the first place, or at least the band played a background role. I, for one, am just about positive that my oldest babygirl sparked to life during Wish You Were Here.

Hey! I just had a thought! Wonder if we can sue Pink Floyd for child support?

If you get a chance go see Brit Floyd when they come around again. Saw them at the Saenger a few months ago, They were every bit as good as the real thing who I saw twice, once in the 70's and once in the 80's. They use a lot of the original equipment/stage props. Strange thing when I walked in though, just about everybody in there had white hair, thought I made a wrong turn and was in a retirement home than I remembered I have white hair too!

I saw a cover band at the Sanger back in the 80s, I think they were called "Clear Light". It was pretty good as I remember. I could still fit in those tiny seats back then.
