Although I'm a big fan of the 870 for HD, hogs, and general range fun, I've been wanting an auto-loader for quite some time. In the mid-80's I picked up a Benelli 121M1 with the 20" barrel while stationed in Germany as it was the latest hotness in the SG world, sold it like a fool shortly after returning to the states. Been wanting a replacement for a long time but prices have gone up just like everything else.

Well, when you sip Whiskey and cruz GunBroker... things happen lol.

Picked up an excellent condition Rem 11-87 Police, hit the range this afternoon, and although I only fired ten rounds of target loads, I was pleased that it cycled those rounds as I have a healthy supply. I realized my luck might not hold out as these things generally choke on light loads but so far, so good.

SG'ing hogs with a pump gun is just pure fun...

Here is the new addition to the scatter gun stable... pretty good condition/shape...

These are the target loads I hop continue to work...

I think I'll add a rail to the side and mount an OTAL-C for some night-time hog stalking under NODS.

Congrats bud. Cool setup. I like the all black look the best.
That thing will be beast mode on groups of piggies!

Fired a box of target loads this am, 100% function.

Tested some Federal Tactical Slugs at 25 yards, 5 shots into one big hole, shoots about 3" high at that distance so should be on at 50-75ish yards, didn't have time to check. Definitely more kick than the target loads but still manageable as opposed to a pump.

My 1100s will cough at a light load every now and then. My dad's seems to be worse off.

My 11-87 will eat anything. On lite loads you can hear how slow the bolt moves but it's never failed. Reminds me of extracting a case from a bolt gun
