WASHINGTON, DC (RNN) – The group 2 Million Bikers to DC has met to rally in the nation's capital – in part to remember, in part to protest.
Motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country are making the trek on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S. According to the organizers' Facebook page, it has been done "to remember those who were killed on 9/11 and honor our Armed Forces who fought those who precipitated this attack."
Belinda Bee, national coordinator for 2 Million Bikers, said the gathering was also in response to the Million American March Against Fear (MAMAF), according to the Washington Times. That rally was planned for Wednesday as well, by the American Muslim Political Action Committee.
"Muslims get enough attention," Bee told Washington Times. "It's time for America to get attention."
Couldn't make the ride but I fired up the hog and went to the store earlier tonight. I smiled the whole way thinking of all the patriots in D.C. Today.
